Cook Paneer with me

Cooking is something that pleases my soul. I have always loved to cook food by myself. I wouldn't say that I am a very good cook, but there are a few dishes that I make the best. One of these dishes is all gravy paneers. Coriander malai is what I experimented with for this task. I started with a chopping board and a knife. I cut all the vegetables including chilies, onions, garlic, ginger, and tomatoes. I also cut the paneer on the same board. Then I went ahead with Grinding the onions, garlic, and ginger together to form a paste. I also churned the tomatoes to form a tomato puree. I only cut a particular amount, that I used completely. There was no waste after the process, I even ate all of the dishes I made.


After grinding and churning, I heated the pan and added ghee to it. I went ahead with frying some coriander in it. I set this mixture aside and added more ghee to the same pan. I then went ahead with frying the onion, garlic, and ginger paste. Later I chopped some more garlic to add some more flavor to the dish. After I had this mixture fried, I added tomato puree to it. Then I went ahead with mixing all of the ingredients till they formed a gravy. Then I added the spices to it. I added turmeric, red chilies powder, and some paneer masala into it too.


After it was all cooked I added the paneer into it and lastly added the set-aside coriander left into it. I also put some on top of the gravy to garnish it. After that, the dish was made and I added some cream to it to make it more delicious. This is how I made the dish more appetizing and this is how my mom use to cook it. The recipe that I followed was basically a mix of my own and my mother's. She makes the typical Shahi paneer but I wanted to try something new, mostly the recipe resembled it but the gravy did not have cashews and sugar instead it had more spice and coriander.


I did all the cooking by myself. I live on rent in a flat, which was used by a lot of people doing the same assignment but with different ingredients. I cooked it n my kitchen where I cook all the other things that I make. It was a very interesting experience t experiment with, but the ingredients and the methods were very similar. I was so happy when it was all complete because it took a lot more time to make it than what is shown in the video. I am so glad I could do this and it made me miss my mom so much. After I was done cooking I called her and showed her what I had cooked. She was so happy and proud. It smelled just like something that she would have made for me.
